Nick “Duck” Mezzino - Founder / Director
Nick is currently a Primary Teacher at St Thomas School, Goodwood in Adelaide. He has 18 years teaching experience in schools, including 7 years working as a PE specialist and Sports Coordinator. Nick played more than 10 seasons of soccer in the South Australian State League before moving to Japan and taking up Australian rules football in Osaka. He is now a proud Dad of two very active kids, Hannah and Jett, and enjoys organising events and coaching, watching and playing sports. As a registered teacher here in South Australia, Nick also holds a First Aid qualification for centres and schools, is a mandated notifier and has a current Police Check in line with the national standard for teachers.
Luke “Turtle” Slattery - Founder / Director
Luke is currently a Primary School Teacher at St Mary’s Memorial School and has been teaching in catholic schools since 2005. He grew up in the mid north and loves all things sport, especially football. Luke is currently teaching Year 3 at St. Mary’s Memorial School, Glenelg.
He is a member of the current under 12 state football coaching team and has a wife, Amy, and 2 young girls. He loves family time and enjoys going to the beach.
Luke also holds a Level 2 AFL Sport Coach qualification, First Aid Qualification for Centres and Schools, is a mandated notifier and has a current Police Check in line with the national standard for teachers.
Tom - Facilitator
Tom is a qualified PE teacher who has been teaching in Catholic Education since 2014. He grew up in Crystal Brook before moving overseas to teach in both Canada and London. Tom has a passion for sport and health education.
He is a current member of the under 12s State Football Coaching team. Tom currently teaches Year 6 at Nazareth Catholic College. He enjoys travel, sport and any outdoor activity!

Damien - Facilitator
Damien is a qualified secondary HPE and Science teacher and has been teaching in Catholic Education since 2015. He grew up in Port Pirie before moving to Adelaide to finish his education.
Damien is passionate about health & fitness and leading an active lifestyle. He currently teaches secondary HPE and Science at Mount Carmel College. Damien enjoys sport, spending time with his family, friends and his dog Monkee!
